Albrecht Altdorfer was a German painter, painter and architect during the Renaissance. He was one of the main representatives of the Danube School, which dealed with the presentation of biblical subjects in relation to the atmospheric landscape backgrounds of bright, vibrant andpronounced colors. He was a pioneer of pure landscapes, claiming that the human figure should not disturb nature. His landscapes are characterized by dense forests, often dramatically colored by sunlight.
Albrecht Dürer was a painter, printmaker and graphic artist and considered the greatest German Renaissance artist. His enormous opus includes altar paintings, religious works, portraits and copper engravings. Gothic elements are also present in his works. On the landscapes he worked, unlike Altdorfer, people are preoccupied with certain jobs, with enigmatic motifs, in the surroundings of, for example, the landscape of a coastal village, where the actions of these people are completely unrelated to the natural environment.
