Fish species A has a gestation time of three months and lays 300 eggs per clutch. Fish species B has a gestation time of 5 month

s and lays 200 eggs per clutch. Which fish species would make a better model organism, and why? Fish A because it will have longer generation times and more offspring Fish A because it will have shorter generation times and more offspring Fish B because it will have longer generation times and fewer offspring Fish B because it will have shorter generation times and fewer offspring

Answer:

B.Fish A because it will have shorter generation times and more offspring .

Explanation:

We have two species of fish A and B

Fish A has a gestation time of three months and lays 300 eggs per clutch.

Fish B has a gestation time of 5 months and lays 200 eggs per clutch.

We have to find which one makes better model organism and why.

We can see that fish A has gestation period of 3 months and fish B has gestation period  of 5 months and produced 300 offsprings by fish A and 200 offsprings by fish B .The number of offsprings produced by fish B are smaller than the number of offsprings produced by fish A.The time taken by fish A for gestation is shorter than the time taken for gestation by fish B.

We can see that fish A takes short time for gestation and gives large number of offsprings and fish B takes longer time and gives  small number of offsprings.

Therefore, fish A  makes better model organism because it takes shorter time and gives large number of offsprings .

Hence, option B is true.

Answer:B.Fish A because it will have shorter generation times and more offspring .

How do changes in nutrient affect biodivesity
lord [1]
Climate effects and human impacts, that is, nutrient enrichment, simultaneously drive spatial biodiversity patterns. However, there is little consensus about their independent effects on biodiversity. ... Species turnover rates caused by nutrients do not increase toward higher temperatures

Which vitamin can be synthesized in significant amounts by humans and, therefore, may NOT be essential
Nadya [2.5K]

Answer:

The correct ansqwer is- Vitamin D

Explanation:

Vitamin D is the vitamin that can be synthesized by the human body itself therefore it is not an essential vitamin for human beings. Human skin is the part that helps in making this vitamin in humans.

The natural form of vitamin D is vitamin D3 which is formed by the sunlight exposure on the skin. When we expose our skin in the sunlight the UV radiation penetrated our skin and converts provitamin D3 into pre-vitamin D3 then this previtamin can be isomerized into the natural form of vitamin D Which is vitamin D3. So the right answer is vitamin D.
