First, we can see that the output is a salt and water which means that the reactants were an acid and a base. Since the given reactant is a base, thus, NH4OH is excluded as it is also a base.

Now, examining the outputs of the reactions, we will find that they are composed mainly of sodium, hydrogen, oxygen and carbon. This excludes H3PO4 as it contains phosphorus.

The last step is to compare between the number of moles of each element in the output with those in the input. The output has 1 sodium mole, 2 carbon moles, 5 hydrogen moles and 3 oxygen moles.
The given input (NaOH) has 1 sodium, 1 oxygen and 1 hydrogen moles. Therefore, the other input (reactant) should have 2 carbon, 4 hydrogen and 2 oxygen moles.

Based on this, the right solution is CH3COOH.

Answer:

It's spontaneous in the reverse direction

Explanation:

A negative voltage indicate s that the reverse reaction is spontaneous (i.e. oxidation at the cathode, and reduction at the anode; by convention you would need to swap the labels on the electrodes)

A bedroom has a volume of 118 m3 What is its volume in km3?
ruslelena [56]
I believe the problem is just simply asking for us to convert the value from one unit to the other. This case from m^3 to km^3. From the SI units, we know 1 km is equal to 1000 m. We do as follows:

118 m^3 ( 1 km / 1000 m )^3 = 1.18 x 10^-7 km^3

b) Anions have a negative charge and are smaller than their neutral counterparts

c) Metals can have either a positive or negative charge making it either a cation or an anion
