The weight (W) of an object is the product of its mass (m) in kilograms and g, the acceleration due to gravity in meters/second2

. If the acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 meters/second2, find the corresponding weights for these masses.
mass in kilograms = {22.1, 33.5, 41.3, 59.2, 78}

A large dining room table is in the shape of a semi circle diameter 12 feet. What is the square feet closest to the area ? Radiu
Zarrin [17]
No, the radius is not 3.14 .  The radius is 1/2 of the diameter . . .  That's 6 feet.
If you see 3.14 on the sheet, then that's the number you're supposed to use for pi .

The area of any circle is (pi) x (radius squared).
If the table were a full circle, its area would be (pi) x (6 squared) = 36 pi square feet.

But it's only half of that . . . 18 pi = (18) x (3.14) = <u>56.52 square feet</u>.

That's called the "area" of the table, not the "square feet" of the table.

And another thing:   I see you're asking for the "closest" number.   Don't ask me
how I know this, but I'm pretty sure that right under this question wherever you
copied it from, there's a list of choices, and when you posted the question, for
some reason you decided not to share the list.

Write the coordinate of the intercept
Basile [38]

Answer:

m = 2/3

y-intercept: 2

Explanation:

First convert this equation into standard form by distributing the 6y and -4x from the coefficient of 2, and then putting the variables in order.

This equation should be in the form: Ax + By = C (Standard form)

y = -Ax/B + C/B : y = mx + b (Slope intercept form)

2(6y - 4x) = 24 → 12y - 8x = 24

→ -8x + 12y = 24 → -8x = -12y + 24 → 8x = 12y - 24 → <em>8x - 12y = -24</em>

<u>8</u>x <u>- 12</u>y = <u>-24</u>

| | |

A B C

Once you have standard form, you are ready to convert this into slope intercept by isolating the y completely.

8x - 12y = -24

-8x -8x

(First through the subtraction property of equality, remove 8x from both sides so that -12y is by itself on the left)

-12y = -8x - 24

×-1 ×-1 ×-1

(Through the identity property of negative 1, remove the negative sign from all of the numbers because a negative times a negative is a positive)

12y = 8x + 24

(Lastly, through the division property of equality, divide all sides by 12 because it is the coefficient of y, which will solve for the variable)

QS bisects /PQT and QP and QR are opposite rays. If m/PQT 60 and m/PQS = 4x + 14, find the value of x
Afina-wow [57]

Based on the angle bisector QS, the value of x is 4

<h3>How to determine the value of x?</h3>

The given parameters are:

  • QS bisects <PQT
  • QP and QR are opposite rays.
  • m<PQT = 60
  • <PQS = 4x + 14,

Because QS bisects <PQT, then

PQT = 2 * <PQS

This gives

4x + 14) * 2 = 60

Divide by 4

2x + 7 = 15

Subtract 7 from both sides

2x = 8

Divide by 2

x = 4

Hence, the value of x is 4

4) Expression: 360<br> What is the value?
myrzilka [38]

The value of \sqrt{360} is 18.974.

Solution:

Given expression:

\sqrt{360}

To simplify the given expression and find the value.

\sqrt{360}

Factor the value 360 = 36 × 10.

\sqrt{360}=\sqrt{36\times 10}

36 can be written as 6 × 6 = 6²

10 can be written as 2 × 5.

       =\sqrt{6^2\times 2\times 5}

      =6\sqrt{2\times 5}

      =6\sqrt{10}

      = 18.974

The value of \sqrt{360} is 18.974.
