Solve for y in terms of x. x=(y+2)/(y+3)

Mathematics

Multiply both sides by y+3 to get xy+3x=y+2. Subtract 2 from both sides as well as xy, getting 3x-2=y-xy. After that, divide y from both sides to get (3x-2)/y=1-x. After that, divide both sides by (3x-2) to get 1/y=(1-x)/(3x-2). After that, multiply both sides by y to get 1=y(1-x)/(3x-2), and then multiply both sides by
(3x-2)/(1-x) to get  (3x-2)/(1-x)=y

Write an expression for the next 3 even numbers that are greater than P
Alisiya [41]
Every even number is 2 away from the last.
0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14...etc.

If we had an even number p, then the next three even numbers would be
p+2, p+4, and p+6.

<em>(If we had an odd number p, then the next three even numbers would be</em>
<em>p+1, p+3, and p+5. I'm not sure if p is even is implied in the question. Technically the answer would be p - p mod 2 + 2, where p is an interger...that gets into more technical function stuff, though.)</em>

Given the two points what is the slope of the line?<br> (4,2) (10.4)
zlopas [31]

m = \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}\\ m=\frac{4-2}{10-4} \\m = \frac{2}{6} \\\\m=\frac{1}{3}

Therefore, the slope of the line is 1/3. In case if you want the equation too.

y=mx+b\\y=\frac{1}{3}x+b\\ 2=\frac{1}{3}(4)+b\\ 2=\frac{4}{3}+b\\ b=-\frac{4}{3}+2\\ b=-\frac{4}{3} +\frac{6}{3}\\ b=\frac{2}{3}

Therefore, the equation is y=1/3x+2/3

2.) subtract = 6 3/4 - 1 1/2 = answer

3.) add = 3 1/4 + 2 1/8= answer

4.) subtract = 4 3/4 - 2 1/6 = answer

Step-by-step explanation:

5.) 3 lawns = 6 3/4 hrs

1st lawn 2 1/2 hrs

2nd lawn 1 3/4 hrs

add 2 1/2  + 1 3/4 = total

then 6 3/4 hrs - total = the amount it takes to mow the 3rd lawn

im sure u know how to add and subtract fractions is u r in middle school :)

What is the base of the expression 11^12? A. 3 B. 11 C. 12 D. 21
lisov135 [29]
<h3>Answer: B. 11</h3>

An exponential has the base at the bottom, or the lower portion. Think of "basement" to help remember this. The exponent is the number up top, so 12 is the exponent.
