A bungee cord loosely hangs from a bridge. Its length while hanging is 79.5 m. When a 67.3 kg bungee jumper is attached and make

s her leap, after bouncing around for a bit, she ends up hanging upside down 83.0 m from the jump point, where the bungee cord is tied.

Answer:

x=82.81 m

Explanation:

Mass m= 67.3 Kg

Length while hanging = 79.5 m

Length while hanging upside down = 83 m

Lets take stiffness constant  of rod is K

So

mg = KΔx

67.3 x 10 = K(83-79.5)

K=192.28 N/m

Lets take at distance x cord is tied

mg = K(x-79.5)

63.7 x 10 = 192.28 (x-79.5)

x=82.81 m

How does natural selection cause a population to change over time
Andreyy89
Learning evolution huh? Good question there. Natural selection alters the gene frequency in a gene pool, changing the population.
Natural selection tends to promote adaptation by maintaining favorable adaptations in a constant environment (stabilizing selection) or improving adaptation in a direction appropriate to environmental changes (directional selection).

Looking at systems is important in science because
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

systems help identify parts and simplify solutions.

Explanation:

Systems are very important in science because they are made up of many parts and can help simplify solutions better.

A system is made up of several parts that are interacting together as a whole. They are very important in solving scientific problems and looking introspectively into a problem.

The parts that makes up the system are equally important as the whole. Systems are typified by what transpires at the level of their parts. Viewing a problem from a system wide angle helps scientists have better knowledge and can be vital in solving scientific problems.
