Solve the following system using elimination:
{3 x - 4 y = -24 | (equation 1)
{x + y = -1 | (equation 2)

Subtract 1/3 × (equation 1) from equation 2:
{3 x - 4 y = -24 | (equation 1)
{0 x+(7 y)/3 = 7 | (equation 2)

Multiply equation 2 by 3/7:
{3 x - 4 y = -24 | (equation 1)
{0 x+y = 3 | (equation 2)

Add 4 × (equation 2) to equation 1:
{3 x+0 y = -12 | (equation 1)
{0 x+y = 3 | (equation 2)

Divide equation 1 by 3:
{x+0 y = -4 | (equation 1)
{0 x+y = 3 | (equation 2)

Collect results:

Answer:  {x = -4,  y = 3

8 + 3x=29 +2x <br> I need answer ASAP
borishaifa [10]

Answer:

x = 21

Step-by-step explanation:

8 + 3x = 29 + 2x

8 + 3x - 2x = 29

8 + x = 29

x = 29 - 8 = 21

x = 21

Find the sum of the first 100 terms in the series
iVinArrow [24]
Hello,

\dfrac{1}{n} - \dfrac{1}{n+1} = \dfrac{1}{n(n+1)} \\&#10;&#10; \dfrac{1}{1*2} = \dfrac{1}{1} - \dfrac{1}{2} \\&#10;&#10; \dfrac{1}{2*3} = \dfrac{1}{2} - \dfrac{1}{3} \\&#10;&#10; \dfrac{1}{3*4} = \dfrac{1}{3} - \frac{1}{4} \\&#10;&#10;...\\&#10; \dfrac{1}{n*(n+1)} = \dfrac{1}{n} - \dfrac{1}{n+1} \\&#10;&#10;&#10;&#10;

Adding member by member, we have

\dfrac{1}{1*2} + \dfrac{1}{2*3} +\dfrac{1}{3*4} +...\dfrac{1}{n*(n+1)}=\\&#10; &#10;\dfrac{1}{1}  - \dfrac{1}{n+1} \\&#10;&#10;= \dfrac{n}{n+1} \\&#10;&#10;

if n=100 sum \boxed{= \dfrac{100}{101} }
