Hello

In total Ava has 11 marbles. 5 of them are either green or yellow, so the probability Ava would pick a green or yellow marble is 5/11.
Hope this helps!

So you add up all the marbles which is 6+3+2 which is 11, you than add the green and yellow which is 3+2 which is 5 and then to write the finally answer you do 5/11

IceJOKER [234]
Given that the function

C(h)=\frac{2h^2+5h}{h^3+8}

models the concentration of a medication in the bloodstream (as a percent), hours (h) after its injection into muscle tissue.

The number of hours it will take for the concentration of the injection to be less than 0.5% is given by:

0.5\ \textgreater \ \frac{2h^2+5h}{h^3+8} \\ \\ \Rightarrow0.5(h^3+8)\ \textgreater \ 2h^2+5h \\ \\ \Rightarrow h^3+8\ \textgreater \ 4h^2+10h \\ \\ \Rightarrow h^3-4h^2-10h+8\ \textgreater \ 0 \\ \\ \Rightarrow h\ \textgreater \ 5.54

Given that the first injection was given at 8:00 am, the time the next injection should be given is 2 pm.

Brad wants to open a new savings account. He finds one that returns 3% on his investment each year.
ozzi

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Return rate, r = 3% = 0.03

x = initial investment

b = final balance

After 1 year, the balance i

b = initial investment + interest

b = x + r*x = (1 + r)*x

Because r = 0.03,

b = 1.03x   (after 1 year)

IgorC [24]

Answer:

180-10x=8x

+10x +10x

180=18x

180/18 = 18x/18

10=x

So therefore in 10 days, both people will have the same amount of money.

(x represents number of days, and we are solving for it.)

Calculate the surface area of the following shape. Round all calculations to the nearest whole number
photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

total surface area = 672 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

radius of hemisphere, r = 7 cm

radius of base of cone, r = 7 cm

height of cone, h = 22-7 = 15 cm

slant length of cone, L = sqrt(7^2+15^2) = sqrt(274)

Area of the cone

= pi r L

= pi * 7 * sqrt(274)

= 115.87 pi

= 364.02 cm^2

Area of hemisphere

= 2 pi r^2

= 2 pi * 7^2

= 307.88 cm^2

Total surface area = 364.02 + 307.88 = 671.89 cm^2
