The answer is D. These two graphs are just both the graphs of the absolute function. The second graph is just transposed 9 units down. In other words, the y intercept (when x = 0) will be -9.

To move the function c units up, add c to the whole funcion

you adde -9 so you moved up -9 units or down

see each choice
A. xint is where y=0, the xint for this equaion is 9, false
B. false, slopes were not affected
C. false, they clearly changed
D.  yint is where x=0, the yint is -9, true

answer is D

What is the perimeter of this figure? fractions
Alona [7]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

You can add the numbers to get the perimeter

10 1/3 + 15 2/3 = 26

18 1/4 + 24 1/4= 42 1/2

26 + 42 1/2= 68 1/2

That is answer choice A

Consider a simple example of moral hazard. Suppose that Woodrow goes into a casino to make one bet a day. The casino is very bas
Neko [114]

Answer:

The expected value of the safe bet equal $0

Step-by-step explanation:

If

S=\left\{s_1,s_2,...,s_n\right\}

is a finite numeric sample space and

P(X=s_k)=p_k for k=1, 2,..., n

is its probability distribution, then the expected value of the distribution is defined as

E(X)=s_1P(X=s_1)+s_2P(X=s_2)+...+s_nP(X=s_n)X)

What is the expected value of the safe bet?

In the safe bet we have only two possible outcomes: head or tail. Woodrow wins $100 with head and “wins” $-100 with tail So the sample space of incomes in one bet is

S = {100,-100}

Since the coin is supposed to be fair,

P(X=100)=0.5

P(X=-100)=0.5

and the expected value is

E(X) = 100*0.5 - 100*0.5 = 0

1/3 (6x - 9) + 3x - 8
Lena [83]

The answer is 5x-11

You have to distrivute 1/3 into 6x and -9 and after you have your answer for those you can combine like terms.

I wish to digitally store a very old book written in an ancient Chinese language. What is the minimum number of megabytes (to th
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

The total number number of megabytes required to store the book is

Step-by-step explanation:

The smallest unit of storage on a computer  are Bits. That is, a single on/off value.

This is different from a Bytes.

Bytes are often represented by the capital letter B, bits by a lower case b.

Please note: A single typed character (for example, 'x' or '8') is stored in one byte.

1 Byte = 8 bits.

1, 000 Bytes = 1 Kilobyte and

1,024 Kilobytes = 1 Megabyte

Therefore 1,000,000 Bytes = 1 Megabyte

STEP I - Get the Number of Bytes required.

Each symbol = 1 byte

Each Page has 445.8 symbols

The book has 360 pages.

Therefore, total number of symbols =

445.8 x 360

= 160, 488 Bytes

If our answer has to be in Megabytes, recall that 1,000,000 Bytes = 1 Megabyte.

Therefore the minimum number of megabytes required to store the book =

160,400/1,000,000

= 0.1604

In three decimal places our answer therefore is

= 0.160 Megabytes or 0.160MB.

Cheers!
