The outlier would be shown as a dot so the answer is B. 45
The interquartile range is 28 - 18 = 10
A simple rule is that points more than 1.5xIRQ above or below the medians is an outlier and is shown as a point.
28 + 1.5x10 = 43. 45 is above this value.

The length of a paper clip chain is directly proportional to the number of paper clips. If a chain with 65 paper clips has a len
Ghella [55]

<u>Answer:</u>

The length of a paper clip chain is directly proportional to the number of paper clips. If a chain with 65 paper clips has a length of 97.5 inches then the length of chain with 14 paper clips is 21 inches.

<u>Solution:</u>

Given that the length of a paper clip chain is directly proportional to the number of paper clips. Directly propotional means when the length of paper clip increases, then the number of paper clips also increases in same ratio.

Hence, by above definition, we get

\frac{l_{1}}{l_{2}} = \frac{n_{1}}{n_{2}}  ------- eqn 1

From question, for a chain with 65 paper clips has a length of 97.5 inches, we get

l_{1} = 97.5 \text { and } n_{1} = 65

Similarly, for a chain with 14 paper clips with length to be found, we get

n_{2}=14 \text { and } l_{2} = ?

Now by using eqn 1, we can calculate the length of 14 paper clips  is,

\frac{97.5}{65}=\frac{l_{2}}{14}

Rearranging the terms we get,

l_{2 }= \frac{97.5 \times 14}{65}

l_{2}=21 \text { inches }

Hence the length of chain with 14 paper clips is 21 inches.

What is the sine value of 7 pi over 6? negative square root 3 over 2 square root 3 over 2 negative 1 over 2 1 over 2?
djverab [1.8K]
First thing to do is to change the radians to degrees so it's easier to determine our angle and where it lies in the coordinate plane.  \frac{7 \pi }{6} * \frac{180}{ \pi }=210.  If we sweep out a 210 degree angle, we end up in the third quadrant, with a 30 degree angle.  In this quadrant, x and y are both negative, but the hypotenuse, no matter where it is, will never ever be negative.  So the side across from the 30 degree reference angle is -1, and the hypotenuse is 2, so the sine of this angle, opposite over hypotenuse, is -1/2

Y= 9x -9 y= 9 substitution method
Aneli [31]
You would plug in the y=9 into the first equation and then have the expression 9=9x-9
. After going through the first steps of solving an expression you would get 18=9x. X=2. Then you would plug in the x value into the first expression to get y=9.
