Answer:

0.00664 moles of solute are needed to prepare the solution.

Explanation:

Molarity is a unit of concentration based on the volume of a solution and is defined as the number of moles of solute per liter of solution. In other words, molarity is defined as the number of moles of solute that are dissolved in a given volume and is determined by the following expression:

Molarity (M)=\frac{number of moles of solute}{volume}

Molarity is expressed in units \frac{moles}{liter}.

In this case:

  • Molarity= 0.415 M
  • number of moles of solute= ?
  • volume= 16 mL= 0.016 L (being 1 L= 1000 mL)

Replacing:

0.415 M=\frac{number of moles of solute}{0.016 L}

Solving:

number of moles of solute= 0.00664

<u><em>0.00664 moles of solute are needed to prepare the solution.</em></u>

Answer:

N_{solute}=6.64x10^{-3}mol

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, we define molarity as shown below:

M=\frac{N_{solute}}{V_{solution}}

Whereas we have the moles of the solute and the volume of the solution in litres, in such a way, for finding the moles we solve for it as shown below:

N_{solute}=M*V_{solution}

N_{solute}=0.415\frac{mol}{L} *16.0mL*\frac{1L}{1000mL}\\ \\N_{solute}=6.64x10^{-3}mol

Best regards.

How many grams of a 14.0% (w/w) sugar solution contain 62.5<br> of sugar?
Delicious77 [7]

Answer:

m_{solution}=446.4g

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, by-mass percent is computed in terms of the mass of the solute and the mass of the solvent as shown below:

\% m=\frac{m_{solute}}{m_{solution}} *100\%

Thus, solving for the mass of the solution, we obtain:

\frac{x}{y} m_{solution}=\frac{m_{solute}}{\% m}*100\%\\ \\m_{solution}=\frac{62.5g}{14.0\%}*100\% \\\\m_{solution}=446.4g

Regards.

Which elements have electron configurations that end in ns 2 np 5 ? halogens noble gases inner transition metals transition meta
4vir4ik [10]
HALOGENS have 7 electrons in their final shell regardless if the total number of atoms.  These 7 electrons would be shared between the 's' and 'p' orbital in the form ns² np⁵ (the same as the question).  Attached is a table that highlights the fact that halogens have the same form in terms of the valence electrons.

When you convert feet to inches, how do you decide which portion of the conversion factor should be in the numerator and which i
Inessa05 [86]

Answer : The conversion used is, 1\text{ feet}=12\text{ inches}

Explanation :

The conversion used :

1\text{ feet}=12\text{ inches}

For example : To convert 10 feet into inches.

1\text{ feet}=12\text{ inches}

10\text{ feet}=10\text{ feet}\times \frac{12\text{ inches}}{1\text{ feet}}

                    =120\text{ inches}

From this we conclude that, the conversion factor used in the numerator and denominator for 1 feet should be, \frac{12\text{ inches}}{1\text{ feet}}

The table below gives information about the nucleus of each 4 atoms
FrozenT [24]
The answer is B 2. As it says Atom Number of Protons and Number of Neutrons, from my understanding it means that the first number after the letter is the number of protons and the second number is the number of neutrons.

Now, If there are 6 protons in a nucleus that means there are 6 electrons on the outside, so A and D are the same element. However, you may be confused because of the different number of neutrons (6 and 7 or 7 and 8) this only means that one is and isotope of the element.

*Isotopes are atoms with the same number of protons but different number of neutrons. (Basically, same element different mass)
