To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:
 1. You have that the <span>20-foot support post makes a 70° angle with the ground. Therefore, you have:
 Sin</span>α=opposite/hypotenuse
 α=70°
<span> opposite=x
 hypotenuse=20
 2. When you substitute the values, you obtain:
 Sin(70°)=x/20
 3. Now, solve for x:
 x=20Sin(70°)
 x=18.8
 The answer is: 18.8 feet </span>

Can y'all answer this please n–2 1/2=7 1/2
Yuki888 [10]
Hi!
So this is an algebra question. We basically want to know what number minus 2 and 1/2 is going to equal 7 and 1/2. An easy way to check for that first number is adding those two numbers together

So we take 2 and 1/2 + 7 and 1/2 , and because they have the same denominator we can add the two numbers . 2 + 7 = 9 and then 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 so 9+ 1 = 10

10- 2 1/2 = 7 1/2

Please, I need an answer to this question urgently.
Blababa [14]

Answer:

156

Step-by-step explanation:

While solving we will have to use the area formula of the rectangle, which is :A=w*l ; length*width=A.

Steps:
1)let’s consider that the shape is a full rectangle. => 16*12=192.

2)9*2=18 -> 18*2=36

3)192-36=156.

For what values of x is the line tangent to the graph of f(x) = 4sqrtx-2x parallel to the x-axis?
____ [38]

Answer:

steps below

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 4√x - 2x ... x≥0

f'(x) = 2/√x - 2

critical points: x=0, x=1

x=1 y = 4√1 -2x1 = 2

extreme: (<u>1</u>,2)      tangent line parallel to x axis: y = 2 .... <u>x = 1</u>

x = 0 (x≥0): (0,0)  tangent line parallel to y axis: <u>x = 0</u>
