Why do nations form alliances? Please give examples of different kinds of alliances and explain their purposes, like the NATO tr
denpristay [2]
Nations form alliances in order to achieve goals that otherwise wouldn't be possible. For example, NATO, or the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, a coalition of countries in North America and Europe, agree to defend one another in case of attack from an outside party. This is clearly beneficial, because this intergovernmental support both makes an outside attack less probable, and if it occurs, easier to handle. Another example is NAFTA, or the North American Free Trade Agreement. Shared among Canada, the US, and Mexico, this alliance eradicated trade barriers within these countries. Another beneficial alliance, this agreement increases international trade due to lower costs and thus improves the international economy.

Zinaida [17]

Questions are to be framed according to the variance in the given data.

Explanation:

Q1: Why there is no data available for Illinois?

The answer is rather simple in that the state of Illinois did not exist in 1810

Q2: What is the reason of rapid increase in the population in all the states.

States like Ohio saw a massive population boom in the first few decades of the century, primarily due to expansion.

Q3: How come all three states grew in population at a similar rate throughout?

Very similar methods of expansion and population growth must be responsible for these numbers. The socio economic strata being similar also plays a role here.

What did government stand to gain by implementing the social contract theory?
frutty [35]

The correct answer is B) Peace.

The Social Contract theory revolves around an agreement between the citizens and the government. In this agreement, citizens agree to give up some of their freedoms and limit their abilities as to what they can do in society. In return, the government offers to respond to the needs of the people. This type of agreement in which citizens are willingly giving up some of their freedoms in order to abide by laws made by the government, helps to create a more peaceful society. The rules and consequences developed by the government helps to maintain order and helps to keep citizens safe.
