How did land whales eventually became aquatic?
cluponka [151]

Explanation:

To swim, they move their tails up and down, rather than back and forth as fishes do. This is because whales evolved from walking land mammals whose backbones did not naturally bend side to side, but up and down. ... Whales do the same thing as they swim, showing their ancient terrestrial heritage.

Cetaceans are fully aquatic marine mammals belonging to the order Artiodactyla, and branched off from other artiodactyls around 50 mya (million years ago). Cetaceans are thought to have evolved during the Eocene or earlier, sharing a closest common ancestor with hippopotamuses.

Explain why treehouses dont change in height as a tree grows
Dmitrij [34]
Treehouses are built on the stem and the three branches, which do not grow in length, only in width. Trees grow in length only in the area of the buds, which are located at the ends of branches.
Maybe it is easier to understand this if you imagine that you put a small house replica on the palm of your hand and that your fingers are constantly growing from their tips.  So, the house on your palm would not move, only your fingers, (the analogy to the three top buds) would become longer.
