Which inequality does the graph represent?<br>1. x&gt;17<br>2.x&lt;17<br>3.x&lt;_17<br>4.x&gt;_17
TiliK225 [7]

Answer:

1. x > 17

Step-by-step explanation:

When the point on the graph is an open circle you are going to be using < or > as an open circle means greater than or less than

Immediately we can eliminate number 3 and 4

When the line is going in the direction of the right than the inequality sign will face the variable (x)

the numbers are getting larger meaning that x is greater than the constant (17)

Hence, your answer is x > 17

Extra notes:

when the point on the graph is a closed circle ( filled in ) then you will use ≤ or ≥ as a closed circle means greater than or equal to or less than or equal to

Please help with my algebra homework and explain if you can
balandron [24]

A= \frac{1}{2} h (x+y)

we have to solve for x , solving for x means , we have to isolate x one one side , by shifting all other variables to other side

So

A= \frac{1}{2} h (x+y)

Multiply both sides by 2

2A = h(x+y)

Divide both sides by h

2A/h = x+y

Subtract y from both sides

\frac{2A}{h}  -y =x

or

x=\frac{2A}{h}  -y

Write the equation of the line perpendicular to 3x + y = -8 that passes through (-3,1) . Write your answer in slope-intercept fo
PSYCHO15rus [73]
Y = -3x-8 , m=-3
m•m1 = -1
-3•m1 = -1
m1 = 1/3
from y-y1 = m (x-x1)
y-1 = 1/3(x+3)
y-1 = 1/3x +1
y = 1/3x + 2
