Hello there!

So for these you're usually some pretty similar equations. :)

Speed = distance / time

Velocity = displacement / time (not sure if you'll use this, but I included it, because why not?)

v = x / t

velocity = distance / time

a = v / t

acceleration = velocity / time

Hope this helped!! :)

Don't forget to convert things to their appropriate units!

Good luck!

X-rays take pictures of ______.
raketka [301]

The answer - all of the above.

X -rays are applied in many ways and for various purposes in every day life. They are defined as powerful waves of electromagnetic energy. They are able to penetrate most materials both organic and inorganic.

Their ability to penetrate organic material has made them especially useful in medicine where they can penetrate the body and reveal internal structures such as bones and organs.

In the airports, they are used for security purposes to check in luggage bags for prohibited or dangerous items.

In art, they are widely used by authenticators check for types of paper, materials, changes of composition and other clues to help establish authenticity of art pieces.

Suppose that you measure the length of a spaceship, at rest relative to you, to be 400 m. How long will you measure it to be if
Rashid [163]

Answer:

264 m

Explanation:

The complete question is

Suppose that you measure the length of a spaceship, at rest relative to you, to be 400 m. How long will you measure it to be if it flies past you at a speed of v = 0.75c

using the length contraction relationship,

l = l_{0} \sqrt{1 - \beta ^{2} }

where \beta = \frac{v}{c}

l is the relativistic length

l_{0} is the actual length = 400 m

v is the velocity of the spaceship

c is the speed of light

since v = 0.75c

v/c = 0.75

substituting, we have

l = 400 * \sqrt{1 - 0.75 ^{2} } = 400 x 0.66 = 264 m

What do you think your weight would be if you were floating in space a long way from any planets?
cricket20 [7]
Your weight will be less than on Earth because in space there is no or very less gravitational pull. There are no planets forming any magnetic fields for other objects to be attracted to.

How does gravity maintain the the atmospheric layer around earth ?
HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

Our atmosphere is a mixture of gases that surround Earth. It is kept in place by the pull of Earth's gravity. If Earth was a much smaller planet, like Mercury or Pluto, its gravity would be to weak to hold a large atmosphere
