A 2.40 kg stone is sliding in the +x-direction on a horizontal, frictionless surface. It collides with a 4.00 kg stone at rest.
tester [92]

Answer:

4.32 kg.m/s

Explanation:

SInce the 2.4 kg stone is mobing at speed of 3.6m/s at an angle of 30 degree measured from the x+ direction toward y+ direction. Its y-component momentum is product of its velocity in the y-direction and its mass

P_y = m*v_y = m*v*sin(\theta)

P_y = 2.4*3.6*sin(30)

P_y = 2.4*3.6*0.5 = 4.32 kg.m/s

According to the article, outside influences and puberty are major factors that determine the level of a teen's self-esteem. Of
Hunter-Best [27]
I believe outside influences have more of a negative impact on self-esteem.

Our tweens and early teens are a time when we become more aware of celebrities and media images, making them want to fit in.

We might start to compare ourselves with other people or media images, like ideals.

All of this can affect how we feel about ourselves and our bodies even as we grow into our teens. Family life can sometimes influence our body image.

 Some parents or coaches might be too focused on looking a certain way for a sports team. Family members might struggle with their own body image or criticize their kids' looks, like weight.

 This can all influence a person's self-esteem, especially if they're sensitive to others peoples' comments.

 People also can experience negative comments and hurtful teasing about the way they look from classmates and peers.

Although these often come from ignorance, sometimes they can affect body image and self-esteem.

the Latent heat of fusion of aluminum is 93 KCAL / kg at 660 degrees Celsius determine the amount of energy needed to melt 100 k
True [87]

Answer: 9300 kcal

Explanation: Given: Latent heat of fusion of aluminum is 93 kcal/kg.

That is for melting 1 kg of aluminium at 660^0C amount of heat required is = 93kcal

Thus for 100 kg of aluminium at 660^0C amount of heat required is= \frac{93}{1}\times 100=9300kcal

Thus the amount of energy needed to melt 100 kg of aluminum at the melting point is 9300 kcal.

A toy train rolls around a horizontal 1.0-m-diameter track. the coefficient of rolling friction is 0.10. how long does it take t
Musya8 [376]
Deceleration due to rolling resistance (α) = coefficient*g/R = 0.1*9.81/0.5 = 1.962 rad/sec^2

Equations of motion:
ωf=ωo+αt
But ωf = 0 rad/sec; ωo= 2*pi*RPM/60 = 4.19 rad/sec

Therefore,
0=4.19-1.962t => 1.962t = 4.19 => t = 4.19/1.962 = 2.13 seconds
