He spent 3-5 days in his bedroom at a time. He barely slept, and developed an eating disorder, not eating for days on end.

People often give into negative peer perspire bc they want to be accepted. Often they will have the Fear of being ridiculed. They don't want to offend their friends so they do things they might not normally do. They may not know who to say "no". Hope that helps :D
