Answer:

Global warming is an effect on our planet that is caused by carbon dioxide being trapped in our atmosphere. When the carbon dioxide is trapped, it is bouncing off the bottom layer of the clouds. Some escapes into outer space, but most of it stays. We cause global warming, by using vehicles, making asphalt, burning fossil fuels, and many more.

An effect of global warming is our poles oceans are melting. When our polar caps melt most of the way, we will experience a lot of flooding for many coastal cities. We will also experience extreme weather, like stronger hurricanes, larger thunderstorms, and larger areas effected by other natural disasters.

One thing we can do to stop or slow down these effects is to use vehicles less (or make better vehicles for the environment), stop burning fossil fuels, and make a world-wide law to prevent certain things from commencing. Nuclear bombs are also a problem to global warming. We will hopefully never reach that problem.

Which substance is an example of plasma? Question 3 options: Air Blood Lightning Wood
pychu [463]

Answer:

Q 3 = lightning

Q 4 = False because there is also a fourth state of matter which is called plasma.

Q 5 = most of the matter in universe is made up of plasma.

Explanation:

Plasma:

" The ionized gaseous mixture consist of atoms, ions and electrons is called plasma"

The plasma was first time identified by William Crookes in 1879. More than 99% universe matter is consist of plasma.

It is the fourth state of matter, the other three are solid, gas and liquid. The most of matter in the universe is plasma. When heat is supplied to the atoms, they gain energy the electrons in atom thus escape from the atom by gaining the energy and create the positive charge. Thus ions are formed. When heat is constantly supplied, the ionization process continue to take place and produce large number of positive charges, free electrons but some atoms not get ionized and remain neutral. Thus a cloud of free electrons , positive charge and neutral atoms is formed which is called plasma.

Examples:

The shining stars, lightning bolts, fluorescent light, flames, electrical current which passes through neon gas are some examples of plasma.

How many bonding domains around the central atom and nonbonding domains around the central atom are their in PF4Cl?
Greeley [361]

Answer:

NH2- has two pairs of bonding and two pairs of non-bonding electrons participated in the formation of a molecule. The central nitrogen atom has two pairs of non-bonding electrons cause repulsion on both bonding pairs which pushes the bonds closer to each other. So, NH2- has a bent (angular) molecular geometry.

Use your understanding of chemistry to propose an explanation for the anomaly in the trend for the hydrogen compounds of group 6
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]
Water has greatest boiling and melting points because strong hydrogen bonds between water molecules (intermolecular force). That is because oxygen has largest electronegativity and smallest atomic radius of all elements in group. Other elements in this group do not form hydrogen bonds and they are gasses in room temperature, water is liquid and their boiling and melting points are lower. Boiling and melting point of hydrides gradually increases from H₂S to H₂Te because of increase of the radius and molecular mass of atoms from sulfur to tellurium, that is why intermolecular force of attraction of molecules increases.

How many grams of water can be produced when 8.73 moles of benzene (C6H6) react with excess oxygen?. . Unbalanced equation: C6H6
Alex_Xolod [135]
2 C6H6 + 15 O2 = 12 CO2 + 6 H2O

2 moles C6H6 -------------------- 6 moles H2O
8.73 moles C6H6 --------------- ( moles H2O)

( moles H2O) = 8.73 x 6 / 2

( moles H2O) = 52.38 / 2

= 26.19 moles of H2O

Molar mass H2O = 18.00 g/mol

1 mole -------------- 18.00 g
26.19 moles ----- ( mass of H2O)

mass of H2O = 26. 19 x 18.00 => 471.42 g of water

hope this helps!
