Hello!

Rubbing alcohol is 70.0% isopropyl alcohol by volume. how many ml of isopropyl alcohol are in a full 1 pint (473 ml) container?

We have the following information:

% V/V (percentage of volume per volume) = 70

V1 (solute volume) = ? (in mL)

V (volume of the solution) = 473 mL

We apply the data to the formula of volume percentage of the solute per volume of solution, we will have:

\%\:v/v = \dfrac{v_1}{v} *100

70 = \dfrac{v_1}{473}*100

70*473 = 100*v_1

33110 = 100\:v_1

100\:v_1 = 33110

v_1 = \dfrac{3311\diagup\!\!\!\!0}{10\diagup\!\!\!\!0}

\boxed{\boxed{v_1 = 331.1\:mL\:of\:isopropyl\:alcohol}}\Longleftarrow(solute\:volume)\:\:\:\:\:\:\bf\purple{\checkmark}

Answer:

331.1 ml of isopropyl alcohol

The reaction of pyrrole with bromine forms predominantly __________. View Available Hint(s) The reaction of pyrrole with bromine
xenn [34]

Answer:

a) 2-bromopyrrole

Explanation:

Our options for this questions are:

a) 2-bromopyrrole

b) 2,3-dibromopyrrole

c) N-bromopyrrole

d) 3-bromopyrrole

To understand how the reaction works we have to start with the <u>resonance structures</u>. (Figure 1), on these structures, we will obtain a n<u>egative charge on carbon 2</u> in the pyrrole ring, therefore on this carbon we can generate an attack to an electrophile.

The second step is to check how the mechanism take place. An <u>electrophile is generated</u> by the Br_2 and FeBr_3. This electrophile can be <u>attacked</u> by the negative charge on carbon 2 producing the 2-bromopyrrole. (See figure 2).

I hope it helps!

A solution is made by mixing 34.5 g of sugar with 75.0 g of water. What is the mass percent of sugar in this solution?
lubasha [3.4K]

the mass percent of sugar in this solution is 46%.

Answer:

Solution given:

mass of solute=34.5g

mass of solvent=75g

mass percent=\frac{mass\:of\:solute}{mass\:of \:solvent}*100\%

=\bold{\frac{34.5}{75.0}*100\%=46\%}

Tatiana [17]

Answer:

Combustion reaction

Explanation:

Let's consider the following balanced equation.

CH₄ + 2 O₂  ⇒ CO₂ + 2 H₂O

This reaction is known as a combustion reaction, in which a compound reacts with oxygen to form a compound of carbon and water.

  • If the product is carbon dioxide, the combustion is complete.
  • If the product is carbon monoxide or carbon, the combustion is incomplete.
