So remember that a reflection is a rigid motion. It only moves the quadrilateral, it doesn't change its size at all, which includes the angles and side lengths as well.

Therefore, x-axis (and all) reflections preserve the congruency of the original image and the after image, and does not alter side lengths and angle degrees. The only thing it does is flip the image so that it's the same distance from the x-axis on the other side.

HELP PLZ WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST! find the arrithmetic means in the given sequence<br> -3,?,?,?,93
pav-90 [236]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The standard form of an arithmetic sequence is

aₙ = a₁ + d(n - 1)

where aₙ is the number of the term in the sequence (in order from first term where n = 1, to second term where n = 2, to third term where n = 3, etc) a₁ is the the first term in the sequence, and d is the arithmetic difference or means.  This is what we are looking to solve for.

In our sequence we have the first term, -3 (where n = 1) and the fifth term, 93 (where n = 5).  If we fill in what we have, the only unknown is d, our arithmetic difference (means) between each number in the sequence.

Because we have the fifth term, we can write our standard form to fit our needs:

a₅ = a₁ + d(n-1).  Therefore,

93 = -3 + d(5 - 1) and

93 = -3 + d(4) so

96 = 4d and

d = 24

Our arithmetic difference (means) is 24.  Let's test it on a few values of n.  Let's look for the second, third, and 4th terms, and then try it out for n = 5 to make sure the 5th term, using our arithmetic sequence with d = 24 works and we do, in fact, find the fifth term to be 93.

Testing n = 2

a₂ = -3 + 24(2 - 1) so

a₂ = -3 + 24(1)  and

a₂ = 21.  Second term is 21 (Notice that difference between -3 and 21 is 24)

Testing n = 3

a₃ = -3 + 24(3 - 1) so

a₃ = -3 + 24(2) and

a₃ = 48 - 3 and

a₃ = 45 (Notice the difference between 21 and 45 is 24)

Testing n = 4

a₄ = -3 + 24(4 - 1) so

a₄ = -3 + 24(3) and

a₄ = 72 - 3 and

a₄ = 69 (Notice the difference between 45 and 69 is 24)

Testing n = 5 (and it better come out as 93 or we did something wrong!)

a₅ = -3 + 24(5 - 1) and

a₅ = -3 + 24(4) so

a₅ = 96 - 3 so

a₅ = 93 (Phew!)  ; )

an article after allowing a discount of 20% on its marked price was sold at a gain of 20% had it been sold after allowing 25% di
Effectus [21]

Answer:

Rs 120

Step-by-step explanation:

Let MP = m

Discount = 25% of MP = m/4

SP = MP - Discount

= m - m/4 = 3m/4

If profit is 20%, CP = 3m/4 x 100/120 = 5m/8

=> Profit = 3m/4 - 5m/8 = m/8

Given Profit - Discount = Rs 15

=> |m/8 - m/4| = 15

m/8 = 15

m = Rs 120

Use the diagram to find the measure of each angle. Enter the number only.
Pavlova-9 [17]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  a = 64, b = 90, c = 26, d = 90, e = 26, f = 120, g = 120, h = 60,

  i = 56, j = 124, k = 56

Step-by-step explanation:

Vertical angles are congruent; linear pairs are supplementary; two angles dividing a right angle are complementary. These are the angle relations you need to know to solve this.

__

Working from the top and from the given angles, ...

  h = 60°

  f = g = 180° -h = 120°

  j = 124°

  k = i = 180° -124° = 56°

  a = 64°

  b = d = 90°

  c = e = 90° -64° = 26°

In summary, measures in degrees are ...

  a = 64, b = 90, c = 26, d = 90, e = 26, f = 120, g = 120, h = 60,

  i = 56, j = 124, k = 56

Can anyone help me please solving this maths problems not sure if. Thanks
Marrrta [24]
The reason you can only compare the numerators is because the denominators are the same- leaving little comparison to really make. The numerators will determine which fraction is greater or smaller.

Ex. 4/5 or 3/5

which is greater? Which is smaller?

It can be seen that the denominators are the same, now finally comparing the numerators will answer both questions.

please vote my answer brainliest. thanks!
