creativ13 [48]
3 + 12 (y-4) = 40 *Use distribution* 3 + 12y - 48 = 40 *combine like terms* -45 + 12y = 40 * what you do to one side of the equation you have to do to the other side -45 +12y = 40 +45 +45 ----------------------- 12y = 85 *now you divide to isolate variable* 85 ------- = 7 12 Y =7

Alex787 [66]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

We will use the radical property  \sqrt{a*b} =\sqrt{a} \sqrt{b}  to simplify this.

The problem is  \sqrt{169*x^5}

We can simplify this as:

\sqrt{169*x^5} \\=\sqrt{169} \sqrt{x^5}

Now we can use the property of radicals,  \sqrt[n]{x^a} =x^{\frac{a}{n}}  , to write as:

\sqrt{169} \sqrt{x^5} \\13*x^{\frac{5}{2}}

D is right answer.
