The numbers are x and y
x is 19 less than y
x=y-19

x+y=111
y-19+y=111
2y-19=111
add19 both sides
2y=130
divide 2
y=65

x=y-19
x=65-19
x=46

da numbers are 46 and 65

Step 2: Find

  1. Substitute in point [Equation]:                                                                         0 = 7 - 7
  2. Subtract:                                                                                                            0 = 0

Since 0 = 0 is true, then it would be a solution to the equation.

The legs of a right triangle are four units and 7 units what is the length of the hypotenuse
alexdok [17]
This is where Pythagorean's Theorem comes into play. a^2+b^2=c^2
So take 4^2 + 7^2 (which is 16+49), and your result is 65. Take the square root of 65 and you get 8.06 (8.1 rounded up)
