Because the re line for g(x) is a mirror image of f(x) the x^2 would become a negative.

The red line is also 3 units down from the original line, so g(x) would be -x^2 -3

If you if you traveled 52 ft to -43 feet how far is that
Hitman42 [59]

The answer is 95ft

1. Set up an equation 52-x=-43

2. Subtract 52 from both sides -x=43-52

3. Simplify -x=-95

4. x=95

All the best (if you don't understand the equation let me know if you want help)

AB and BC are tangents to P. what is the value of x? this is really so confusing
Westkost [7]
1. Angle PAB is 90 degrees, as it is formed from the tanget to the circle at A, and the radius drawn to A.

2. AB=BC, because tangents drawn to a circle from the same point are equal.

3. PB is Common, so by the side-side-side congruence postulate, triangles ABP and CBP are congruent.

4. So measure of m(BPA)=x/2 and m(ABP)=73/2.

5. \frac{x}{2}+90+ \frac{73}{2}=180

\frac{x+73}{2}=90

x+73=180, x= 107 degrees.

Lee's family had a garden in the shape of a right triangle. the total area of the garden is 16 square feet. if they expand the g
lana [24]
Area of right-angled triangle  is given by;

Area, A = 1/2 *b*h, Where b=base, h=height

Therefore,

A1 = 1/2bh = 16 in^2
A2 = 1/2 (2b)(2h) = 2bh

Ratio of increase = A2/A1 = {2bh}/(1/2bh} = 4 (the area is increased 4 times)
The,
A2 = 4*16 = 64 in^2
Therefore,
The area is increased by (64-16) = 48 in^2
