Well, there are a couple of reasons,

1. Your parents will be there to monitor you and your friends

2. unlike in a bar , It will be less likely to be surrounded by alcohol at your home

3. Even if you do get drunk at your own home, it will be less likely for you to get in alcohol involved situation such as bar fight, car accident, etc
