Answer:

Yes texas did have slavesn

Explanation:The history of slavery in Texas, as a colonial territory, later Republic in 1836, and U.S. state in 1845, had begun slowly, as the Spanish did not rely on it for labor during their years in Spanish Texas. The use of slavery expanded in the mid-nineteenth century as British-American settlers primarily from the Southeastern United States crossed the Mississippi River and brought slaves with them. Slavery was present in Spanish America and Mexico prior to the arrival of American settlers, but it was not highly developed.

The issue of slavery became a source of contention between the Anglo-American (called that because they spoke English) settlers and Spanish governors. The governors feared the growth in the Anglo-American population in Texas, and for various reasons, by the early 19th century, they and their superiors in Mexico City disapproved of expanding slavery. In 1829 the Guerrero decree conditionally abolished slavery throughout Mexican territories. It was a decision that increased tensions with slaveholders among the Anglo-Americans.

The assistant chief of police has decided to forego using the polygraph test on a suspect and will use a different technique to assess the suspect's physiological responses to crime-scene details. This is known as the guilty knowledge test.

Explanation:

The Guilty Knowledge Tests (GKT's) refers a psycho-physiological survey method that could be used in a polygraph test to find whether suspects are hiding "guilt" by measuring their physiological answers to multiple choice questions.

50 participants were randomly selected to commit one of two real false crimes. Later they were tried with GKT for crimes and things they did not know about. Using the best scoring systems, as per logistic regression analysis, this test correctly classifies 84% innocent and to 76% criminals.

wariber [46]

All national governments agreed to abide by the "rules of the game" under the gold standard. The defense of a fixed exchange rate was required.

A monetary system known as the "gold standard" links a currency's value directly to gold. As a result, the money is guaranteed by the government and can be exchanged for a specific amount of gold. A fixed exchange rate helps to ensure the smooth flow of money from one country to another.

Gold standard means, The amount of gold that a nation's central bank or treasury kept constituted the upper limit on its money supply. Any change in its gold holdings had to be accompanied by an equal adjustment in the number of outstanding local currency units.

According to the "rules of the game," nations that lost gold were required to raise interest rates and reduce their money supply, while nations that gained gold were required to lower interest rates.
