Answer:

Wheal/Urticaria the

Explanation:

Wheal:*A raised, well defined swelling on the skin, often itchy, caused by an insect bite or blow from a whip*.

Wheals comes as a result of *allergic reaction*. When an insect stings on a skin, the body releases a protein called histamine.Upon release of this histamine, the tiny vessels(capillaries) leak the fluid..The fluid accumulates in the skin causing Rash/swelling. They may be rounded of flat-topped with a reddish hue.

A wheal can last for several days without fading away.

Another name for wheal is *Urticaria*

TREATMENT:

A wheal can be treated using *Antihistamines*,such as Certirizine/Fexofenadine which *helps to block the effects of histamine, reducing rash/swelling on that spot of the the allergic bite or whip, and stopping itching*.
