There’s a difference between depression and sadness.
Sadness is usually define as a short lived moment of a sad feeling, or a “down” mood.
Sadness sometimes turns into depression when this period hits 6 months or more. But it’s sometimes not the case
Here’s some symptoms that usually tie into depression:
•feeling “down”
•mood swings
•feelings and thoughts of useless or self doubt
•failing grades
•wanting to be alone
