Ben-hur: A tale of a christ is a novel about a Jewish prince called Judah Ben-Hur who was taken as a slave by the Romans and he became Christian and a charioteer. The novel was written by Lew Wallace, it was published in 1880 and became one of the most popular christian books at the time. The author was a lawyer from the United States that also served as a Union general in the American Civil War.
