That every wave length of light except purple is being absorbed by the hat. The hat will be the color purple

Answer:

Purple light waves are being reflected from the hat

Explanation:

The visible spectrum is made of seven colors Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yello, Orange and Red.

All objects are made of atoms, their electrons absorb wavelengths from the visible spectrum based on which wavelength they absorb the color of the object is determined.

If the object absorbs all wavelength it will appear black.

If the object do not abosrb any waavelength ( i.e., reflect all wavelength) then it will appear in white color

If the object aobsrbs all wavelength except Red the object will appear red

If the absorbs all wavelenth except Blue and Green then it will appear Cyan the combination of both Blue and green)

When the visible light falls on the the hat, it absorbs all colors of the visible spectrum ( VIBGYOR) and reflects only violet color( also called purple) the hat will appear purple

A centrifuge accelerates uniformly from rest to 15000 rpm in 330 s . Through how many revolutions did it turn in this time?
eduard

Answer:

The number of revolutions turned by the centrifuge is 8250 revolutions.

Explanation:

Given;

number of revolution per minutes, ω = 15000 rpm

time of  motion, t = 330 s = 5.5 minutes

The number of revolutions turned by the centrifuge is given by;

N = \frac{1500 \ Rev}{minutes} *5.5 \ minutes\\\\N = 8250 \ revolutions

Therefore, the number of revolutions turned by the centrifuge is 8250 revolutions.

An eccentric inventor attempts to levitate a cork ball by wrapping it with foil and placing a large negative charge on the ball
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

because of the idea that like charges get repulsion as a force.

Explanation:

because you wrap the ball with foil, the negative charges will leave the foil and go into the ball by induction. This leaves the foil as a positively charged particle since its electrons left it for the ball, making the ball a negatively charged particle. but if you bring the negative charge near the foil, the electrons will transfer from that and go into the foil, making it negatively charged. Now, because the ball and the foil have the same charge, they repel. the foil flies off.

Materials that conduct heat and electricity well in the solid state result when
MA_775_DIABLO [31]
Materials that conduct heat and electricity well in the solid state result when metals bond with metals. <span>This type of bonding is called metallic bonding. Metallic bonding is when positive ions (metals) are in a 'sea of negative electrons'. The electrons are delocalised, which means they can move around easily and carry charge, and this enables it to conduct electricity, even in a solid state.</span>

If two objects A and B have the same kinetic energy but A has three times the momentum of B, what is the ratio of their inertias
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

\frac{inertia_B}{inertia_A}=9

Explanation:

First of all, let's remind that:

- The kinetic energy of an object is given by K=\frac{1}{2}mv^2, where m is the mass and v is the speed

- The momentum of an object is given by p=mv

- The inertia of an object is proportional to its mass, so we can write I=km, where k just indicates a constant of proportionality

In this problem, we have:

- K_A = K_B (the two objects have same kinetic energy)

- p_A = 3 p_B (A has three times the momentum of B)

Re-writing both equation we have:

\frac{1}{2}m_A v_A^2 = \frac{1}{2}m_B v_B^2\\m_A v_A = 3 m_B v_B

If we divide first equation by second one we get

v_A = 3 v_B

And if we substitute it into the first equation we get

m_A (3 v_B)^2 = m_B v_B^2\\9 m_A v_B^2 = m_B v_B^2\\m_B = 9 m_A

So, B has 9 times more mass than A, and so B has 9 times more inertia than A, and their ratio is:

\frac{I_B}{I_A}=\frac{km_B}{km_A}=\frac{9m_A}{m_A}=9

A 970 kg car starts from rest on a horizontal roadway and accelerates eastward
a_sh-v [17]

Answer: 4850N

Explanation:

Mass of car = 970 kg

Time = 5 s

Speed = 25 m/s

Average force exerted on the car = ?

Recall that Force is the product of the mass of an object and the acceleration by which it moves

i.e Force = mass x acceleration

(Since, acceleration is the rate of change of velocity or speed per unit time)

i.e Acceleration = Speed / Time

Acc = 25m/s / 5s

Acc = 5m/s^2

Average force = mass x acceleration

Avg force = 970 kg x 5m/s^2

= 4850N

Thus, the average force exerted on the car is 4850 Newton
