The answer is the over justification effect. This happens when presenting of some extrinsic incentive may lead to a decrease in an individual's intrinsic inspiration. In the example above, she was initially intrinsically motivated. Though, once she was given money (an extrinsic reward), her intrinsic motivation weaken.
