The answer would be (B) y = 2x - 2 because when you substitute all of the points in terms of y and x everything fits accordingly. For example, if plugged in the coordinates for the first point you would get: y = 2(1.5) - 2. When you solve for y, you get 1 which is in fact the y-coordinate. Hope this helps!

DENIUS [597]
To find the resultant vector you need to add the horizontal and vertical components of each individual vector.
Cosine for horizontal, Sine for vertical.
v = \ \textless \ |v|cos \theta, |v| sin \theta\ \textgreater \
Where |v| is magnitude or length of vector.
Lets look at first ranger station. First vector has magnitude 4.5 with angle of 90.
Next has magnitude of 8.1 with angle of 125.
F_1 = \ \textless \  4.5 cos(90)+8.1 cos(125) , 4.5 sin(90) + 8.1  sin(125) \  \textgreater \
F_1 = \ \textless \ -4.646, 11.135\ \textgreater \
Find magnitude:
|F_1| =  \sqrt{((-4.646)^2+(11.135)^2} = 12.065
Do the same with 2nd ranger station:
F_2 = \ \textless \  7.5 cos(20) + 5.3 cos(100), 7.5 sin(20) + 5.3 sin(100)\ \textgreater \
F_2 = \ \textless \ 6.127, 7.784\ \textgreater \
|F_2| = \sqrt{(6.127)^2 + (7.784)^2}  = 9.9

Therefore the 2nd ranger station is closest to starting point.

She does not have enough wire

Step-by-step explanation:

The complete question included a design for her sculpture. It is a circle inscribe in a square and the length of the square is 9 inches. The picture above describe the design.

She has in possession a 5 ft of copper to construct a circle inscribe in a square.

The square is 9 inch length.

Perimeter of the square = 4L

where

L = length

Perimeter of the square = 4 × 9

Perimeter of the square = 36 inches

Circumference of a circle = 2πr

r = diameter/2 = 9/2 = 4.5 inches

Circumference of a circle = 2 × π × 4.5

Circumference of a circle = 2 × 4.5 × 3.14

Circumference of a circle = 9 × 3.14

Circumference of a circle = 28.26 inches.

The sculpture will consume 36 inches for the square and 28.26 inches for the circle. The total length for the sculpture will be 36 + 28.26 = 64.26 inches.

She has 5 ft copper for the sculpture . Let us covert the inches to ft to know if the copper wire is enough.

12 inches = 1 foot

64.26 inches = ?

cross multiply

wire required for the sculpture = 64.26/12

wire required for the sculpture = 5.355 ft

She does not have enough wire.

\huge \boxed{\mathfrak{Question} \downarrow}

\sf1 - 3 n \gt - 1 - 4 ( 2 n - 8 )

  • Solve the inequality algebraically.

\large \boxed{\mathfrak{Answer \: with \: Explanation} \downarrow}

\sf1 - 3 n \gt - 1 - 4 ( 2 n - 8 )

  • Use the distributive property to multiply -4 by 2n-8.

\sf1-3n>-1-8n+32

  • Add -1 and 32 to get 31.

\sf1-3n>31-8n

  • Add 8n to both sides.

\sf1-3n+8n>31

  • Combine -3n and 8n to get 5n.

\sf1+5n>31

  • Subtract 1 from both sides.

\sf5n>31-1

  • Subtract 1 from 31 to get 30.

\sf5n>30

  • Divide both sides by 5. As 5 > 0, the direction of the inequality remains the same.

\sf \: n>\frac{30}{5}  \\

  • Divide 30 by 5 to get 6.

\boxed{ \boxed{ \bf \: n>6 }}

How many solutions is there to the system of equations? 2x + 3y = 11 -4x - 6y = -22
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

x = 4, y = -3

Step-by-step explanation:

{2x - y = 11

{x + 3y = -5

You can use the substitution method by solving for x in the second equation:

x + 3y = -5

Subtract 3y from both sides:

x = -3y - 5

Now, substitute this value for x into the first equation:

2x - y = 11

2(-3y - 5) - y = 11

Distribute:

-6y - 10 - y = 11

Add 10 to both sides:

-6y - y = 21

Combine like terms:

-7y = 21

Divide both sides by -7:

y = -3

Next, substitute this value for x into the second equation:

x + 3y = -5

x + 3(-3) = -5

Multiply:

x - 9 = -5

Add 9 to both sides:

x = 4
