Answer: process by which cells obtain energy from glucose. During respiration, cells break down simple food molecules such as sugar and release the energy they contain. Heterotrophs consume autotrophs in order to obtain energy. autotrophs produce the reactants needed by heterotrophs for cellular respiration.

4. In a class experiment to determine information about free-fall acceleration, a watermelon and a pumpkin are each set to fall
bogdanovich [222]

A)

Answer: They will fall at the same time.

Explanation: This is a free fall equation. Free fall equations don't use other factors such as air resistance or wind.

B)

Answer: 15m

Explanation:

Given: Vi = 10m/s

           t = 1s

           a = 10m/s/s

The equation you need to use is d = Vit + 0.5at^2

d = Vi t + 0.5 a t^2

d = (10 m/s) (1 s) + 0.5 (10 m/s^2) (1 s)^2

d = (10 m) + 0.5 (10 m/s^2) (1 s)^2

d = (10 m) + (5 m/s^2) (1 s)^2

d = (10 m) + (5 m/s^2) (1 s^2)

d = (10 m) + (5 m)

d = 15 m

Explain this long term change in beak characteristics using the concept of:
Delicious77 [7]

Beak of birds change according to their climate and other conditions in their surroundings as the birds adapt to them.

Explanation:

The beak of the bird is the source from which it catches its prey so it is important for the survival of the bird that the beak remains effective for the use.

The competition from other species of birds may often trigger development in beaks for better suitability to the climate to become more effective than other species.

This happens through the process of adaptation as the birds adapt to their environment and then pass their genes down to their next generation through their inheritance in lineage.
