Three salesmen work for the same company, selling the same product. And, although they are all paid on a weekly basis, each sale

sman earns his paycheck differently. Salesman A works strictly on commission. He earns $65 per sale, with a maximum weekly commission of $1,300. Salesman B earns a weekly base salary of $300, plus a commission of $40 per sale. There are no limits on the amount of commission he can earn. Salesman C does not earn any commission. His weekly salary is $900. The weekly paycheck amount for each salesman, p, is a function of the number of sales, s, they had in that week. Is the function representing the weekly paycheck amount of Salesman A a proportional relationship? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning. Is the function representing the weekly paycheck amount of Salesman B a proportional relationship? Use complete sentences to explain your reasoning. My sister answered this one The answer would be 11 sales! They both earn $780 <span>Salesman A's earnings in Week 4 if he makes one sale is $65, and each sale just adds on $65. Salesman B's earnings for the week if he makes one sale is $340 and you just add $40 for each of his sales. I kept counting both and I saw that they both had $780 for their 11th sale. </span>

The length of a rectangle is 24 units. Can the perimeter x of the rectangle be 60 units when its width y is 11 units? (1 point)
zlopas [31]
The first choice is correct. No, the rectangle cannot have x=60 and y=11 because x=48+2y.

Perimeter is x=2w+2y. Therefore x=2(24)+2(11) which equals 70 not 60.
