Answer:

1. Batch Operating System –

This type of operating system does not interact with the computer directly. There is an operator which takes similar jobs having same requirement and group them into batches. It is the responsibility of operator to sort the jobs with similar needs.

2. Time-Sharing Operating Systems –

Each task is given some time to execute, so that all the tasks work smoothly. Each user gets time of CPU as they use single system. These systems are also known as Multitasking Systems. The task can be from single user or from different users also. The time that each task gets to execute is called quantum. After this time interval is over OS switches over to next task.

Advantages of Time-Sharing OS:

3. Distributed Operating System –

These types of operating system is a recent advancement in the world of computer technology and are being widely accepted all-over the world and, that too, with a great pace. Various autonomous interconnected computers communicate each other using a shared communication network. Independent systems possess their own memory unit and CPU. These are referred as loosely coupled systems or distributed systems. These system’s processors differ in size and function. The major benefit of working with these types of operating system is that it is always possible that one user can access the files or software which are not actually present on his system but on some other system connected within this network i.e., remote access is enabled within the devices connected in that network.

4. Network Operating System –

These systems run on a server and provide the capability to manage data, users, groups, security, applications, and other networking functions. These type of operating systems allow shared access of files, printers, security, applications, and other networking functions over a small private network. One more important aspect of Network Operating Systems is that all the users are well aware of the underlying configuration, of all other users within the network, their individual connections etc. and that’s why these computers are popularly known as tightly coupled systems.

Advantages of Network Operating System:

5. Real-Time Operating System –

These types of OSs serves the real-time systems. The time interval required to process and respond to inputs is very small. This time interval is called response time.

#include <iostream>  //for input output functions

using namespace std;   //to identify objects like cin cout

int main() {  //start of main() function body

  enum GroceryItem {GR_APPLES, GR_BANANAS, GR_JUICE, GR_WATER};  //enum is used to assign names to constant

  GroceryItem userItem = GR_APPLES;

//value of userItem is set to GR_APPLES

  /* Your solution goes here  */

//if the userItem is equal to GR_APPLES or GR_BANANAS

if((userItem == GR_APPLES) || (userItem == GR_BANANAS)){

 cout << "Fruit";  } //display Fruit if above if condition is true

//if the value of userItem is equal to GR_JUICE or GR_WATER

else if((userItem == GR_JUICE) || (userItem == GR_WATER)){

 cout << "Drink";  } //display Drink if the above if condition is true

else{  //if none of the above if conditions is true then print Unknown

 cout << "Unknown";  }

cout << endl;

  return 0;  }

Explanation:

The output of the program is Fruit because the value of userItem is set to GR_APPLES and according to the if statement if the userItem is equal to GR_APPLES than "Fruit" will be displayed on the screen as output.

The program along with its output is attached as a screen shot.

How important is technology in education? what technology-related skills can you contribute to a school district answers?
Naily [24]
<span>It is evident that school children in today's world must have the ability to maneuver and operate technology. Their ability to be employed will be partial credited to how capable they are operating a computer and the internet. Educational institutes have the responsibility of teaching technology and how it is mandated into today's society. I would be able to enhance the internet experience for grade school aged students. I have the ability to surf and define searches through the internet.</span>

aliya0001 [1]

Answer:

125.28₁₀ in hexadecimal = 7D.47AE147AE1₁₆

Step-by-Step Explanation:

To convert decimal number 125.28, we convert its integer and fraction part individually and then add them to get the equivalent hexadecimal number, as below:

To convert integer 125 to hexadecimal, follow these steps:

Divide 125 by 16 keeping notice of the quotient and the remainder. Continue dividing the quotient by 2 until you get a quotient of zero.

Then just write out the remainders in the reverse order to get the equivalent hexadecimal number.

125 / 16 = 7 with remainder 13 (D)

7 / 16 = 0 with remainder 7

Here is the answer to 125 decimal to hexadecimal number:

7D

For converting decimal fraction 0.28 to hexadecimal number, follow these steps:

Multiply 0.28 by 16 keeping notice of the resulting integer and fractional part. Continue multiplying by 16 until you get a resulting fractional part equal to zero (we calcuclate upto ten digits).

Then just write out the integer parts from the results of each multiplication to get equivalent hexadecimal number.

0.28 × 16 = 4 + 0.48

0.48 × 16 = 7 + 0.68000000000001

0.68000000000001 × 16 = 10 (A) + 0.88000000000011

0.88000000000011 × 16 = 14 (E) + 0.080000000001746

0.080000000001746 × 16 = 1 + 0.28000000002794

0.28000000002794 × 16 = 4 + 0.48000000044703

0.48000000044703 × 16 = 7 + 0.68000000715256

0.68000000715256 × 16 = 10 (A) + 0.88000011444092

0.88000011444092 × 16 = 14 (E) + 0.080001831054688

0.080001831054688 × 16 = 1 + 0.280029296875

Here is the answer to 0.28 decimal to hexadecimal number:

0.47AE147AE1

Therefore, decimal number 125.28 converted to hexadecimal is equal:

7D.47AE147AE1
