ddd [48]

A new animal is discovered that is more sensitive to pain in its toes than its fingers. If we were to examine the brain of this animal we would notice that the parietal lobe would have more brain area devoted to the toes than the fingers.

What is the parietal lobe's primary purpose?

The parietal lobe is one of the major lobes in the brain, roughly located at the upper back area of the skull. It is found on both the left and right hemispheres of the cerebral cortex.

Somatosensory information from the body, such as touch, pain, temperature, and the perception of limb position, is processed by the parietal lobes. The parietal lobes play a role in integrating data from several modalities, just like the temporal lobes do. Parietal lobe houses the primary somatic sensory cortex, a part of the brain that processes information from various parts of the body.

Why do you think matter changes its form based on temperature? In science explain
Scrat [10]

Answer:

Look down to the explanation

Explanation:

Because matter is extrinsic property ( meaning it could be changed based on the enviornment), things like pressure and temperature can affect the state and form of matter. "When thermal energy is added to a substance, its temperature increases, which can change its state from solid to liquid (melting), liquid to gas (vaporization), or solid to gas (sublimation)." So if the temperature is increased, it is the cause of thermal/heat energy, and this is what makes solids into liquids, liquids to gasses, and gasses to plasma (including other additional states.

Anyways, I hope this helps, and sorry it's long!

The Water Cycle What would most likely happen if it didn’t rain in a certain area for a long period of time?
Mariana [72]

Answer:

The air is full of water, as water vapor, even if you can't see it. Condensation is the process of water vapor turning back into liquid water, with the best example being those big, fluffy clouds floating over your head. And when the water droplets in clouds combine, they become heavy enough to form raindrops to rain down onto your head.
