We can first find how deep the drill could dig for an hour(a day consist of 24 hours):

60÷24
=2.5feet

We can then find how deep it would be for 15 hours:
2.5×15
=37.5 feet

The answer of a is 37.5feet.

For b,we can find the time by deviding the height by it's feet per hour:
143.6÷2.5
=57.44hours

Thus the answer of b is 57.44hours.

Hope it helps!

A ball has a volume of 128 cubic inches. Find the diameter of the ball.
Natalija [7]
\bf \textit{volume of a sphere}\\\\
V=\cfrac{4\pi r^3}{3}~~
\begin{cases}
r=radius\\
-----\\
V=128
\end{cases}\implies 128=\cfrac{4\pi r^3}{3}\implies 128(3)=4\pi r^3

\bf \cfrac{128(3)}{4\pi }=r^3\implies \sqrt[3]{\cfrac{128(3)}{4\pi }}=r^3\implies \sqrt[3]{\cfrac{96}{\pi }}=r\implies \sqrt[3]{\cfrac{8\cdot 12}{\pi }}=r
\\\\\\
\sqrt[3]{\cfrac{2^3\cdot 12}{\pi }}=r\implies 2\sqrt[3]{\cfrac{12}{\pi }}=r\\\\

\textit{and since the diameter is \underline{twice as the radius}}\qquad d=4\sqrt[3]{\cfrac{12}{\pi }}

How do i solve things that dont make sense to me even though i do know but dont know
kirill [66]

Answer:

Just try to make it make sense to you.

Step-by-step explanation:

For instance, a + 1 = 5

a = 4

We know that we should switch the terms as when it comes to normal numbers ,10 + 1 = 11 , 10 = 11-1. Therefore, the only trick is not to memorise, but try to understand the logic behind it. Hope this helps in some way???

Amy has 30 grams of flour. She puts 4 grams of flour in each pot of chowder that she makes. She makes 4 of chowder. Does Amy hav
GrogVix [38]

Answer:  Amy Doesn´t have enough flour left over to make 3 pots of potato soup.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi, the complete question is:

Amy has 30 grams of flour. She puts 4 grams of flour in each pot of chowder that she makes. She puts 5 grams of flour in each pot of potato soup that she makes. She makes 4 pots of chowder. Does Amy have enough flour left over to make 3 pots of potato soup?

So, if she makes 4 pots of chowder and each one needs 4 grams of flour:

4 x 4 = 16 grams of flour

Now, to make 3 pots of potato soup, she needs 5 grams of flour for each pot.

3 x 5 = 15 grams of flour

Amy has 30 grams of flour; we have to subtract the grams used for the pots of chowder (16) to obtain the flour left.

30-16 = 14 grams of flour left

Since she needs 15 grams for the 3 pots of potato soup, Amy Doesn´t have enough flour left over to make 3 pots of potato soup.

Because 14 < 15
