The air quality index, or AQI, measures how polluted the air is in your city and assigns a number based on the quality of the ai

r. Over 100 is unhealthy. . . Given the following quadratic regression equation, estimate the number of days the AQI exceeded 100 in the year 1988. . . n = 1.76t^2 - 13.32t + 41.00. (let t represent the number of years since 1990. therefore, t = 0 corresponds the year 1990. round to the nearest whole day.). . A. 60 days. B. 75 days. C. 61 days. D. 21 days

There are several information's already given in the question. The answer to the question can be easily deduced using those given information's.

From the given question we come to know that
t = -2
Then
n = 1.76t^2 - 13.32t + 41.00
   = [1.76 * (-2)^2] - [13.32 * (-2) + 41
   = 7.04 - ( - 26.64) + 41
   = 7.04 + 26.64 + 41
   = 74.68
   = 75
From the above deduction, we can conclude that the correct option among all the options that are given in the question is the second option or option "B".

There are 5 different coloured cups in a row.
Marizza181 [45]

There are 12 possible arrangements.

------------------------

  • Considering that the blue cup has to be on one end, we consider the number of arrangements possible with the other 4 cups, then multiply by 2(considering the blue on each end).

------------------------

  • Considering green and yellow before red and purple, there are 2 \times 2 = 4 outcomes(G-Y-R-P, G-Y-P-R, Y-G-R-P and Y-G-P-R).
  • Another two possible outcomes are yellow-purple and green-red, or vice-versa, thus 4 + 2 = 6 outcomes.
  • To account for the blue on the end, multiplying by 2. 2 \times 6 = 12
  • There are 12 possible arrangements.

A sum of money is divided amongst Farah, Shaiyara and Zahin in the ratio 10: 7: 5. If
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answers:

  • Total amount of money =  220 dollars
  • Amount Farah gets = 100 dollars

==========================================================

Explanation:

  • F = amount Farah gets
  • S = amount Shaiyara gets
  • Z = amount Zahin gets

The money is divided in the ratio 10:7:5

This means that

  • F = 10x
  • S = 7x
  • Z = 5x

for some positive real number x.

Since Shaiyara gets $20 more than Zahin, we can say,

S = Z+20

Let's plug in S = 7x and Z = 5x and solve for x

S = Z+20

7x = 5x+20

7x-5x = 20

2x = 20

x = 20/2

x = 10

Therefore,

  • F = 10x = 10*10 = 100
  • S = 7x = 7*10 = 70
  • Z = 5x = 5*10 = 50

The ratio F:S:Z becomes 100:70:50 which reduces fully to 10:7:5 after dividing all three parts by the GCF 10.

The total sum of money shared is 100+70+50 = 220 dollars and Farah gets $100 of that total.
