Answer:

The new electrostatic force will be half the initial force.

Explanation:

Let is call the charges of the two objects Q_1 and Q_2, if the separation between them is R, then the electrostatic force F between them will be

F = k\dfrac{Q_1Q_2}{R^2},

where k is the coulomb's constant.

If let's say the charge Q_1 is halved, then it becomes  Q_1/2. The electrostatic force then becomes

F_{new} = k\dfrac{(Q_1/2)Q_2}{R^2} =  k\dfrac{Q_1Q_2}{2R^2},

\boxed{F_{new} =\dfrac{F}{2}.}

Thus, the new electrostatic force will be half the initial force.

Match the type of boundary with it's characteristic
vodomira [7]

Answer:

Transform= not destroyed or created

Divergent= crust created

Convergent= crust destroyed

Explanation:

The plates move in the opposite or away from each other at a transforming plate boundary. The two platform borders are not produced or destroyed in this case. As both plates converge on each other and thus destroy the plates for converging plate boundaries. When the plate is divergent, both plates shift away from each other by opening up and solidification for a new crust.

___ acceleration occurs when an object speeds up
AleksandrR [38]

Explanation:

Acceleration is defined as the change in velocity over time.

When there is an increment or increase in the magnitude of velocity of a moving body then it is known as positive acceleration.

Whereas when there is a decrease in magnitude of velocity of a moving body then it is known as negative acceleration.

Thus, we can conclude that positive acceleration occurs when an object speeds up.
