Hey there!

First of all, since we don't know the exact number of orders for each appetizer, we can have an equation but we wouldn't have an answer. We know that we have to set it equal to 186.75, because that's our total amount of orders.

Since we know the prices of each appetizer, we can multiply that price by the number of orders (their assigned variables) and set it equal to the total to get:

5.50y + 6.75x = 186.75

Notice how we multiply the price by the number of orders. This is because, for example, if each mushroom cost 5 dollars, we'd multiply 5 by the number of orders.

Hope this helps!

We use the t distribution for the statistical inference of the population mean when the underlying population standard deviation
Digiron [165]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Since population std deviation is not  known, we use t critical value for testing of hypothesis.

a) 90% conf level when n =28

df = 27, t critical = 1.706

b) 95% 28

df =27 and t critical = 2.052

c) 90% and 15

df =14 and t critical = 1.761

d) 95% and n =15

df =14:   t critical = 2.145
