Given

Miranda started a car-washing business

She spent $75 to purchase supplies to get started and she uses about $0.50 worth of supplies per car washed.

Miranda charges $9 for each car washed

Find out the minimum number of cars Miranda will need to wash to make a profit.

To proof

As given

let c represent the number of cars.

She spent to purchase supplies to get started = $ 75

she uses worth of supplies per car washed = $ 0.50

Miranda charges for each car washed = $ 9

than the inequality be

9c> 75+0.50c\\9c-0.50c>75\\8.5c> 75\\c> 8.8

i.e the minimum number of cars Miranda will need to wash to make a profit is 9 .

Hence proved

According to the rational root theorem, which is a factor of the polynomial f(x)=3x^3-5x^2-12x+20?
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

(x-2), (x+2), (3x-5)

Step-by-step explanation:

Factors of 3: ±1, ±3

Factors of 20: ±1, ±2, ±4, ±5, ±10, ±20

Possible factors of the polynomial: ±1, ±2, ±3, ±4, ±5, ±10, ±20, .... (there's a lot more but you probably do not need to list them all)

Pick a number to divide the polynomial by (I picked 2)

(3x³-5x²-12x+20)÷(x-2) = 3x²+x-10

So (x-2) is a factor of f(x) = 3x³-5x²-12x+20

Factor 3x²+x-10 = (3x-5)(x-2) these are the other factors of f(x) = 3x³-5x²-12x+20

In parallelogram ABCD, m∠BAC = 40.62°and m∠BCA = 30.96°. What is m∠BAD?
KatRina [158]
The answer is letter a. m∠BAD = 108.42°

The solution is as follows:
If m∠BAC = 40.62° and m∠BCA = 30.96°, then
m∠CBA = 180° - m∠BCA - m∠BAC
m∠CBA = 108.42°

Since m∠BAD = m∠CBA due to the parallelogram's property,
m∠BAD = 108.42°.
