Most charts for the sizes of the canoe paddle give the sizes in units of inches. A yard is a unit of measure of length that is equal to 36 inches. Although some sizes of the canoes paddle torso are not greater than 36 inches, the yardstick can still be a reasonable measuring tool for bigger canoe paddles.

1. Anne wants to join five pieces of paper together. She plans to use 3 rectangular pieces of the same size and 2 square pieces
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer and explanation:

Surface area of a rectangle = length * width

Surface area of a square = a² where a is length of a side

To find total surface area of the the five pieces of paper, we add up all the areas of all the shapes

Given that length of rectangle =3.5

And width = 2

Area of rectangle =3.5*2=7

Area of 3 rectangles given they are all equal = 7*3=21

Since width of rectangle equal to width of square and all sides of square are equal

Area of square = 2 *2 =4

Area of the two squares =4*2=8

Total surface area of the five plane shapes = 21+8= 29

I don’t understand the equation
ankoles [38]

you need to find to find the value of x and y.

2x>(-15-5y)

x>(-15-5y)/2

now put this in to other equation and solve for y and then put the y value in and find x.

Which statements are true about exponential decay functions? Check all that apply. The domain is all real numbers. As the input
lorasvet [3.4K]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

The correct options are:

  • The domain is all real numbers.
  • The base must be less than 1 and greater than 0.
  • The function has a constant multiplicative rate of change.
<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

We know that the exponential function is given by:

                f(x)=ab^x

where a>0 and b are constants.

Also, it represents a growth function if b>1

and a decay function if 0<b<1

where b is the base.

  • x belongs to whole of the real numbers( since the exponential function is well defined for all the real values of x.

Hence, the domain of the function is all the real numbers )

  • Also, the graph of a decay function decreases continuously i.e. with the increasing input value the output value decreases.
  • The exponential decay function always have a constant multiplicative rate of change i.e. b.
