Multiply 1.5 and 1 as fractions

Mathematics
1 answer:
Andrew [12]3 years ago
8 0
So 1.5 means 1 and 1/2 or 2/2+1/2=3/2

and 1=x/x where x=x so 1 could be 1/1 or 3/3 or 2342/2432 and so on
for simplicity just use 1/1

to multiply fractions just multiply the top numbers by the top numbers and the bottom numbers with the bottom numbers so
3/2 times 1/1=(1 times 3)/(1 times 2) or the same thing since anything times 1 is the same thing so the answer is 3/2 or 1 and 1/2

Which equation is an identity?
kirza4 [7]

Answer:

Option (3).

Step-by-step explanation:

Option (1).

3(x - 1) = x + 2(x + 1) + 1

3x - 3 = x + 2x + 2 + 1

3x - 3 = 3x + 3 [Not True]

Therefore, this equation is not an identity.

Option (2).

x - 4(x + 1) = -3(x + 1) + 1

x - 4x - 4 = -3x - 3 + 1

-3x - 4 = -3x - 2 [Not true]

Therefore, this equation is not an identity.

Option (3).

2x + 3 = \frac{1}{2}(4x + 2) + 2

2x + 3 = 2x + 1 + 2

2x + 3 = 2x + 3 [True]

Therefore, this equation is an identity.

Option (4).

\frac{1}{2}(6x-3)=3(x+1)-x-2

3x - 1.5 = 3x + 3 - x - 2

3x - 1.5 = 2x + 1 [Not true]

Therefore, this equation is not an identity.
