Please help I'm not sure how to solve this (it would be more helpful for a way to solve it rather than an answer)

Explanation:

We will use the Pythagorean Theorem to determine if these lengths for a right triangle.

This theorem states, for a right triangle:

<span><span>a2</span>+<span>b2</span>=<span>c2</span></span>

Where a and b are the base and height and c is the hypotenuse which is also the longest length.

Substitute the values into this equation and see if both sides of the equation are equal. If they are the lengths form a right triangle. If they are not equal then they would not form a right triangle.

<span><span>362</span>+<span>772</span>=<span>852</span></span>

<span>1296+5929=7225</span>

<span>7225=7225</span>

Because both sides of the equation are equal these lengths do form a right triangle.

For it to form a right triangle, it would satisfy the pythagorean theorem
a^2 + b^2 = c^2....where a and b are the legs and c is the hypotenuse...keep in mind, the hypotenuse is the biggest side.

so lets check it...
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
57^2 + 76^2 = 95^2
3249 + 5776 = 9025
9025 = 9025 (correct)

and since it satisfies the pythagorean theorem, it is a right triangle

The wind-chill index W is the perceived temperature when the actual temperature is T and the wind speed is v, so we can write W
melamori03 [73]

Answer:

hello your question is incomplete attached below is the complete question

estimating: Ft( -15,40 ) = ( 1.2 + 1.4 ) / 2 = 1.30⁰c

when the actual temperature is -15⁰c and the wind speed is 40 km/h the apparent temperatures increase by 1.3⁰c  that the actual temperature rises

estimating:  Fv ( -15,40 ) = (-0.2 + -0.1 ) / 2 = -0.15⁰c

when the actual temperature -15⁰c and the wind speed is 40 km/h the apparent temperature decreases by about 0.15⁰c for every km/h that the wind speed

Step-by-step explanation:

A) Estimating the values of Ft(−15, 40) and fv(−15, 40)

attached below is a detailed solution

To estimate the value of Ft( -15,40 ) we have to take an average value hence Ft ( -15,40 ) = ( 1.2 + 1.4 ) / 2 = 1.30

and this means that when the actual temperature is -15⁰c and the wind speed is 40 km/h the apparent temperatures increase by 1.3⁰c  that the actual temperature rises

To estimate the value of Fv(-15,40 )  we have to take an average value

hence Fv ( -15,40 ) = (-0.2 + -0.1 ) / 2 = -0.15

and this means that when the actual temperature -15⁰c and the wind speed is 40 km/h the apparent temperature decreases by about 0.15⁰c for every km/h that the wind speed

What is the percent of change? Is it an increase or a decrease? 100 to 150
grandymaker [24]

Answer:

50% increase

Step-by-step explanation:

% change = (new value-initial value)/initial value x 100

= (150-100)/100 x 100 = 50%
