Let the initial number of bacteria be x_{0}

Number of bacteria doubles in population every 10 minutes

After 10 minutes number of bacteria = 2x_{0}

number of bacteria present after t minutes,

x = x_{0}\times2^{t}

When t = 2.5 hrs = 2.5 (60) = 150 minutes

So every 10 minutes t = 150/10 = 15

Now substitute t = 15 minutes and x_{0} = 1, we get

x = 1\times2^{15}

x = 32,768 bacteria

f(x) = x⁴-6x³-13x²+66x+72
Step-by-step explanation:
Factors are: (x+3)(x+1)(x-4)(x-6)
[(x+3)(x+1)][(x-4)(x-6)]
[x²+3x+x+3][x²-4x-6x+24]

An isosceles trapezoid has a perimeter of 40.8 millimetres. Its shorter base measures 1.4 millimetres and its longer base measur
klio [65]

Answer: 10.6 mm

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Perimeter (P) is the sum of the sides.

The trapezoid has 4 sides: the shorter base = 1.4mm

                                             the longer base = 16.6mm

                                             the left side  = x

                                             the right side = x

P = short base + long base + left side + right side

40.8 = 1.4 + 16.6 + x + x

40.8 = 18 + 2x

21.2 = 2x

10.6 = x

Solve 3^(4x-5)=〖27〗^(x+10) for x. Show your work
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

The answer is x=35

Step-by-step explanation:

Right Side:

First we convert 27^{x+10}\mathrm{\:to\:base\:}3. This result in \left(3^3\right)^{x+10}.

Left Side:

We can convert the left side the same way: 3^{4x-5}=3^{3\left(x+10\right)}

Both Sides:

Since both sides have the same base, we can set their exponents equal to each other.

4x-5 = 3(x+10).

At this point we can solve for x normally and get x = 35.
