How do sexually reproducing organisms produce gametes from diploid progenitors?

Biology
1 answer:
Wittaler [7]4 years ago

Through meiosis, diploid parents produce haploid cells called gametes. The gametes, through sexual reproduction, then meet and join into one cell called a zygote that is diploid.
The zygote then develops into a diploid organism with genetic traits from both parents.

The gut of a vertebrate is often described as an elongated tube consisting of four layers of different cell types.
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. <em>"Cartilage, smooth muscle layers, mucosa, circular muscle". </em>

Explanation:

The intestine wall is conformed of 4 layers: mucosa, submucosa, muscular and serous.

  • The mucosa layer is composed of cylindrical simple epithelium that shapes tubular glands named Lieberkühn crypts and villus, these las one in charge of absorption. The crypts are invaginations of the epithelial surface and they have the stem cells. The epithelial cells renew constantly, so cells divide in the base of the crypts and then they move to the superior portion of the digestive tube, where they die. This layer also has a basal sheet and a thin muscular sheet.
  • The submucosa layer is composed of dense connective tissue, with adipose tissue located in some specific areas and large-caliber blood vessels.
  • The muscular layer is composed of two bands disposed perpendicularly between them, the <u>internal thick circular muscle</u> and the <u>external thin longitudinal muscle layer</u>.
  • The serouse layer is composed of a very thin connective tissue that in some points continues with the peritoneum.

2. Did you notice a difference in the rate of respiration between the various sugars? Did the
german

Difference in rate of respiration of various sugars

Explanation:

It will be observed that sucrose and sugar solutions are having the highest rates of respiration. The artificial sugars like Splenda, glu-cose, Equal follows sucrose and sugar solutions. among the artificial sugars, Splenda has a higher rate of respiration than the others.

Compared to an artificial sugar, sucrose seems to provide a good starting material for fermentation.

Among artificial sugars, Splenda which has a higher content of sucralose, maltodextrin and dextrose sugars can provide good starting material for the yeast cells undergo fermentation and cellular respiration.

What processes or events might change or alter the original order of the layers?
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

Events can occur naturally, such as earthquakes, or a hurricane, others can be caused by humans, such as oil spills or air pollution. An event can cause changes in one or more of the spheres and an event can be the effect of changes in one or more of the four spheres on Earth. This cause and effect relationship in both directions between the event and the sphere is called interaction. Interactions also occur between spheres; for example, a change in the atmosphere can cause a change in the hydrosphere and vice versa.

Interactions that occur as a result of events such as floods or forest fires impact only a local region, meaning that flood waters can only travel a limited distance from their original river, and a forest fire only burns vegetation in that area. On the other hand, the effects of events like "El Niño" or ozone depletion can cause interactions that can be observed around the world. For example, the “El Niño” event — a change in ocean currents off the coast of Peru — can cause changes in weather patterns throughout North America, while the reduction of the ozone layer over Antarctica can result in an increase in levels of ultraviolet B radiation around the world.

Explanation:

Understanding the interactions that occur in Earth's system also helps people prepare for the effects of natural disasters like volcanic eruptions. This understanding allows people to predict things like how far and in which direction the lava will flow. This relatively new field of study of interactions between events and Earth spheres is known as Earth System Science, or ESS. There are ten possible types of interactions that can occur within the earth system. Four of these interactions are between the event and each of the spheres:

-event <--> lithosphere

-event <--> hydrosphere

-event <--> biosphere

-event <--> atmosphere

1.Event <--> Hydrosphere

The lack of moisture in the ground and in the vegetation may have provided a dry environment in which the fires, once burning, continued to burn.

The heat from the fire may have further removed moisture from the air, soil, and vegetation through the evaporation process.

2.Event <--> Atmosphere

Lightning could have started the fires igniting the dry vegetation.

Gaseous pollutants such as carbon dioxide (CO2) may have been produced while vegetation was burned and blown into the air by the wind.

3.Event <--> Lithosphere

The intense heat from the fires may have caused some of the rocks to break.

4.Event <--> Biosphere

Dead branches and pine cones on the floor may have provided fuel for the fires.

The seeds of some plants may have required their outer shells to be burned before they germinated; therefore these benefited from forest fires.

In metaphase where do sister chromatids go?
Setler [38]

Answer:

Long protein filaments called kinetochore microtubules extended from poles on either end of the cell and attached to the kinetochores. During metaphase, the kinetochore microtubules pull the sister chromatids back and forth until they align along the equator of the cell, called the equatorial plane.
