If you have to show your work I will get you started:
12+(-5(2w)-5*-13)
=3(2w-5)
Multiply 2 by -5 to get -10
12+(-10w-5*-13)
=3(2w-5)
Multiply -5 by -13 to get 65
12+(-10w+65) =3 (2w-5)
.....

The answer you are supposed to end up with is: w= 23/4

A cylindrical diesel fuel holding tank has a radius of 6 feet and a length of 12 feet. What is the maximum volume of fuel the ta
Delicious77 [7]

Answer: 1356 cubic feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of cylinder is given by :_

Volume = \pi r^2l, where r is the radius and l is the length of the cylinder.

Given : A cylindrical diesel fuel holding tank has a radius of r= 6 feet and a length of l=12 feet.

Therefore,

Volume=\pi (6)^2(12)\\\Rightarrow\ Volume=3.14\times(36)(12)=1356.48\approx1356

Hence, the volume of cylindrical diesel fuel holding tank =1356 cubic feet

Therefore, the maximum volume of fuel the tank can hold 1356 cubic feet.

Need help with this problem
Nat2105 [25]

Since its a linear pair,

(2x+4)° + (x+23)° = 180° (Since a linear pair = 180°)

2x+x+4+23 = 180°

3x+27 = 180°

3x = 180° - 27

3x = 153°

x =153/3

x = 51

Therefore, (2x+4)° = 2*51+4

= 106°

&

(x+23) = 51+23

= 74°

Hope you understood!

If a person stands 40 ft from a tree and the angle of elevation made from their eyes (5 ft above the ground) to the top of the t
goldenfox [79]

Using the given information, the height of the tree is 48 ft

Trigonometry

From the question, we are to determine the height of the tree

In the given diagram, the height of the tree is (x + 5) feet

First, we will determine the value of x

tan 47° = x / 40

x = 40 × tan47°

x = 42.89 ft

∴ The height of the tree = (42.89 + 5) ft

Height of the tree = 47.89 ft

Height of the tree ≈ 48 ft

Hence, the height of the tree is 48 ft.
