The graph of a quadratic function intercepts the x-axis in the two places and the y-axis in one place. According to the fundamen

tal theorem of algebra, which of the following statements is correct? The quadratic function has no real zeros and two non-real zeros. The quadratic function has two distinct real zeros and one distinct non-real zero. The quadratic function has two distinct real zeros. The best answer is <span>The quadratic function has two distinct real zeros

The fundamental theorem of Algebra basically states that a the number of zeros, or roots, that a function has will be equal to the degree of the polynomial. In this case, the functions degree is two since it is a quadratic function, so there should be two roots. The roots can be real or non-real.

In this case, based on the fact that two roots cross the x-axis and are apparently part of the continuous function, both roots are distinct and real.
If one or two were imaginary, we would not see them in the graph of the function. </span>

Given: EG - diameter m arc FG =41°, m arc EH =53° Find: m∠E, m∠GPF
barxatty [35]

Answer: m∠E = 20.5°

              m∠GPF = 47°

Step-by-step explanation: An inscribed angle is an alge formed with its vertex on the circle. Its relation with arc is that the measure of an inscribed angle is half the measure of the intersected arc. For that reason:

m∠E = \frac{arcFG}{2}

m∠E = \frac{41}{2}

m∠E = 20.5°

Angle in F is:

m∠F = \frac{arcEH}{2}

m∠F = \frac{53}{2}

m∠F = 26.5°

The angle GPF is external to the triangle EPF, so the angle can be found by the following definition: The measure of an external angle of a triangle equals the sum of the non-adjacent angles, i.e.:

m∠GPF = m∠E + m∠F

m∠GPF = 20.5 + 26.5

m∠GPF = 47°

What is the value of x?<br><br><br><br> Enter your answer in the box.<br><br> x =
d1i1m1o1n [39]

Answer:

x=20

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use similar triangle to find x.  Put the smaller triangle over the larger triangle.

11             10

-------- = ----------

121+11       10 +5x+10

Combine like terms

11             10

-------- = ----------

132       20+5x

Using cross products

11 (20+5x) = 132*10

Distribute

220 +55x = 1320

Subtract 220 from each side

220-220 +55x = 1320-220

55x = 1100

Divide by 55

55x/55= 1100/55

x =20
