The gas produced by respiration ,which is carbon dioxide, is the they type of gad that plants need to survive. The principles plants need to survive is carbon dioxide, water, and the sun's solar energy. And the things the give off is oxygen and natural sugar. While we need oxygen to be able to breath the need our carbon dioxide to survive as well, so it works in a cycle.

Answer:

The gas produced by respiration process is CO2 and it is recycled by plants during Photosynthesis.

Explanation:

All living organisms require energy to perform their life functions. This energy is obtained by breaking down the chemical bonds in organic molecules (usually glucose). The process of respiration produces a CO2 gas and water molecule as waste products.

Naturally, plants make use of this carbondioxide (CO2) to synthesize their food (glucose). They absorb the CO2 via the stomata of their leaves. Plants fix this CO2 gas in their Chloroplast and use it produce glucose during the Calvin Cycle of Photosynthesis.

What could a scientist do to determine what era the Eocene Period belongs to on the geologic time scale?
Burka [1]

Answer:

Option B) study information related to the Cenozoic era

Explanation:

The complete question is

Scientists discovered that the Eocene time period existed in Earths history around 34 MYA. What do they need to do to determine what time period Eocene belongs to on the geologic time scale?

A) learn what happened during Precambrian time

B) study information related to the Cenozoic era

C) view the timing of events in the Mesozoic era

D) research events that happened during the Paleozoic era

Solution -

The period of Eocene belong to the Cenozoic era. The Cenozoic era is divided into three periods-

a) The Paleogene – Existed between 65.5 to 23.03 million years ago

b) The Neogene - Existed between 23.03 to 2.6 million years ago

c) The Quaternary – Started some 2.6 million years ago and is continuing till present

The Paleogene is subdivided into three epochs –

A) The Paleocene – existed between 65.5 to 55.8 million years ago

B) The Eocene – existed between 55.8 to 33.9 million years ago and

C) The Oligocene – existed between 33.9 to 23.03 million years ago

Hence, studying about Cenozoic era will give information about the Eocene epoch

Hence, option B is correct

One reason native plants are declining is that the invasive plants absorb nitrogen from the soil about twice as fast (α = 2). Ho
Dmitry_Shevchenko [17]

Answer:

α = 0 if β= 0

Explanation:

If both species want to persist in the same environment and their niches are also over lapping then both of the co-efficient values should be equal. There are two possibilities on these values for persistence. One is that one should compromise to the change produced by the invasive specie and two is that the new specie should compromise if he wants to stay (<em><u>Assuming that there is no competition</u></em>). In this way their niches won't overlap to a greater extent and therefore better chances of survival for both.
