Option A: Stay with saving the original amount each month but put the addition on one month later than originally planned.
Option B: Increase the amount of money they save each month by $120 from their original plan.
Which of the following statements is true?

Amount saved using option A = 6120/12 x 19 = $9,690

Amount saved using option B = 6120 + 6(6120/12 + 120) = 6,120 + 6(510 + 120) = 6120 + 6(630) = 6120 + 3780 = $9,900

Neither option A nor option B will allow them to meet their goal.

At the local market, Bill buys 3 juice boxes and 2 hot dogs at a cost of $8, while Sarah buys 2 juice boxes and 1 hot dog at a c
baherus [9]

Answer:

The cost of each juice boxes is $ 2

The cost of each hot dogs is $ 1  .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The amount which Bill pays for 3 juice boxes and 2 hot dogs = $ 8

The amount which Sarah pays for 2 juice boxes and 1 hot dogs = $ 5

Let The cost of each juice boxes = $ j

And The cost of each hot dogs = $ h

Now, According to question

3 j + 2 h = 8               .........A

2 j + 1 h = 5                 ..........B

Now, solving the equations

2 × (  2 j + 1 h ) = 2 × 5

or, 4 j + 2 h = 10

I.e ( 4 j + 2 h ) - ( 3 j + 2 h ) = 10 - 8

Or, ( 4 j - 3 j ) + ( 2 j - 2 h ) = 2

Or, j + 0 = 2

∴  j = 2

So , The cost of each juice boxes = j = $ 2

Now, Put the value of j in Eq A

I.e  3 × 2 + 2 h = 8

Or, 6 + 2 h = 8

Or. 2 h = 8 - 6

or, 2 h = 2

∴   h = \frac{2}{2} = 1

So, The cost of each hot dogs = h = $ 1

Hence The cost of each juice boxes is $ 2

And The cost of each hot dogs is $ 1  . Answer

A probability distribution is a listing of all the outcomes of an experiment and the probability associated with each outcome. T
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

True.

Step-by-step explanation:

A probability distribution is a listing of all the outcomes of an experiment and the probability associated with each outcome. Probability distribution is associated with the following characteristics or properties;

1. The outcomes are mutually exclusive.

2. The list of outcomes is exhaustive, which simply means that the sum of all probabilities of the outcomes must equal one (1).

3. The probability for a particular value or outcome must be between 0 and 1.

Since a probability distribution gives the likelihood of an outcome or event, a single random variable is divided into two main categories, namely;

I. Probability density functions for continuous variables.

II. Discrete probability distributions for discrete variables.

For example, when a coin is tossed, you can only have a head or tail (H or T).

Also, when you throw a die, the only possible outcome is 1/6 and the total probability for it all must equal to one (1).

A line that includes the points (9,j) and (10,4) has a slope of 1. What is the value of j?
Sergeu [11.5K]

Answer:

soln

A=(9,j)

x1=9,y1=j

B=(10,4)

x2=10,y2=4

slope=1

by using the fomulaof slope,

slope=y2-y1/x2-x1

1 =4-j/10-9

1 = 4-j/1

1=4-j

j=4-1

j=3
